  • Oppy, a Canadian fresh produce grower, has announced its partnership with UP Vertical Farms (a new Canadian indoor vertical farm) to expand its reach into the vertical farming sector.

  • Via the partnership, Oppy's customers can purchase UP Vertical Farm’s fresh greens from a variety of retailers from 2022.

  • Founded by Fresh Green Farms, UP Vertical Farms is Canada’s first fully automated vertical farm offering customizable baby leafy greens. UP Vertical Farms expects to launch the first phase of its operations in mid-2022, with the capacity to produce nearly one million kilograms of salad greens annually. The company expects to become Canada’s largest vertical farm by 2023 with further expansions.

  • Founded in 1858, Oppy is a Canadian leading fresh produce grower, marketer, and distributor that offers a variety of fruits and vegetables including apples, apricots, cucumbers, and ginger roots. The company’s in-house logistics platform offers third-party logistics services as well. Currently, Oppy has expanded its presence into New Zealand, North America, and Asia via partnerships and investments.
