Senior focused fitness platform Balanced launches out of beta

<ul><li>Balanced, a senior-focused fitness provider, announced that it has launched out of beta. The company was co-founded by Katie Reed and Kelly Froelich, both former engineers at Ro , a telehealth startup.</ul> 

  • The company offers an at-home digital platform featuring online fitness classes, on-demand workouts, evidence-based workouts, and personalized programs. Balanced’s product offerings are conducted by expert trainers and programs are vetted by a physical therapist. The company operates a subscription model charging USD 20 per month and is currently available directly to consumers with plans to offer the product on Medicare Advantage plans.

  • In 2020, the company raised USD 1.5 million in pre-seed funding from Primary Venture Partners and other angel investors and launched a beta version in independent living communities.
