The Planting Hope Co., a Vancouver-based plant-based dairy company, announced the completion of a CAD 9 million (USD 7.1 million) IPO in Canada, selling 22.5 million shares at a price of CAD 0.40 each, bringing the company’s total valuation to approximately CAD 30 million (USD 23.8 million). The company’s shares are expected to begin trading on the TSX-V, under the ticker symbol “MYLK,” on November 18.
Founded in 2020, The Planting Hope produces and sells a range of plant-based food products under three brands: Hope and Sesame, Veggicopia, and Mozaics. Their only plant-based milk brand Hope and Sesame is the first commercially available sesame milk in the world according to the company and is available at Kroger, Sprouts, Whole Foods Market Canada, Amazon, and via major distributors UNFI and Kehe.
