Taboola, an AI-powered marketing content discovery platform, introduced SmartDimensions, a significant update to SmartBid, Taboola’s automated ad bidding technology.
First introduced in 2018, SmartBid aggregates previous customer interactions and applies AI to determine the likelihood of a customer's interaction with an advertisement resulting in a sale. Based on these predictions, the system automatically adjusts advertising bids to improve performance. The new SmartBid Dimensions will include more granular customer demographic and contextual data to provide richer insights on customer behavior.
According to the management, the unique value addition provided by SmartBid Dimensions is that it provides a more authentic view of customer behavior compared to what they state on social media platforms, resulting in more accurate predictions.
