Karamba Security extends Series B with additional USD 10 million

Funding

  • Karamba Security, an automotive and IoT security startup, has secured a USD 10 million extension to its Series B funding round led by VinFast, with participation from Samsung Venture Investment (SVIC), YL ventures, Fontinalis Partners, and several others. The investment brings its total funding to USD 27 million.

  • The company will utilize the funds to expand commercialization in North America, Asia, and Europe; accelerate product development with additional machine learning (ML) capabilities, which includes enhanced ML-driven identification, improved incident response and remediation; meet increased customer demand to comply with new industry regulations such as the UN R155 and ISO 21434 for automotive cybersecurity, and the US Executive order for Cybersecurity impacting IoT and automobile security.

  • Karamba Security intends to triple its revenue in 2021 and debut its new ML features in Q1 2022.
