Quartet Health, a mental health tech platform, has announced its plans to acquire InnovaTel Telepsychiatry, a virtual behavioral care startup, for an undisclosed amount.
With the acquisition, Quartet will enhance the care delivery capabilities of its existing healthcare ecosystem and grow its reach to 30+ US states by the end of 2022. InnovaTel will expand its health plan and system members across the US, leveraging Quartet's advanced data, analytics, and technology facilities. Both the companies plan to develop their virtual care offerings, initially targeting serious mental illnesses.
The announcement follows Quartet’s USD 60 million funding led by Independence Health Group last week.
Pennsylvania-based InnovaTel Telepsychiatry treats behavioral conditions by offering telepsychiatry and therapy services, such as medication-assisted treatment (MAT), individual therapy, group therapy, and addictions treatments. The company has a clinician network of 130 at present.
