Sysdig, a provider of cloud security solutions, has raised USD 350 million in a round led by private equity firm Permira at a valuation of USD 2.5 billion. The company’s total funding following this round stands at USD 729.5 million.
Sysdig expects to use the funding to expand its geographical footprint in regions such as the Middle East and Asia, with plans to double its global headcount in 2022.
During the past year, the company reports having more than doubled its customer base, currently serving nearly 700 customers including enterprises such as Goldman Sachs and SAP.
Alex Melamud, a partner at Permira, will join the board of directors of Sysdig. The company also announced the appointment of Karen Walker as chief financial officer, who is a former executive of incident response solutions company, PagerDuty.
