Passendo, an email AdTech startup, raises EUR 2.3 million in pre-series A funding

Funding

  • Passendo, an email ad serving platform, has raised EUR 2.3 million (~USD 2.6 million) in pre-series A funding led by Newion and FirstPartyCapital.

  • The firm plans to utilize the funds to further develop its technology as well as build strategic integrations with partners.

  • In addition, the firm plans to triple its headcount over the next two years in response to growing demand from customers in the US and UK. Currently, it has a team strength of 35 and a presence in the US, UK, Denmark, and Serbia.

  • Founded in Denmark in 2016, Passendo offers a number of AdTech solutions specialized in email marketing performance acceleration. The firm offers a number of tools for marketers, including a demand-side ad platform (DSP) to purchase programmatic in-email advertising as well as solutions for newsletter publishers to increase email ad monetization. As of December 2021, the firm has partnered with a number of publishers including IDG, Egmont, and Bonnier.
