Zwipe partners with Masria Digital Payments to deploy its first pilot biometric payment card in Africa

Partnerships

 • Zwipe, a company offering biometric payment card inlays, announced the first pilot of its biometric payment card in Africa with an unnamed Egyptian bank in collaboration with the largest smart card manufacturer in Egypt, Masria Digital Payments (MDP).

 • The initial pilot will commence in early 2022 where MDP will supply Zwipe Pay ONE enabled biometric cards to financial institutions in Egypt and other parts of Africa.

Analyst QuickTake: Zwipe has entered several agreements to expand its presence in the African region. Last month it partnered with NetPS to expand its reach in the Middle East and Africa, and before this, the company partnered with Mauritian payment and card personalization provider ICPS in July.
