AiFi partners with UK based food service company, Compass Group

Partnerships

  • AiFi, an automated checkout solutions provider, has announced a partnership with Compass Group, the largest foodservice company based in the UK, to launch its first fully frictionless store in Ireland. In addition, the company also plans to launch sites in the UK within other corporate clients as well as in the sports, leisure, and defence sectors in 2022.

  • AiFi’s computer vision technology will be implemented in the new stores allowing customers to check-in when entering the store and leave post purchase without waiting in line or stopping to scan or pay. AiFi deploys computer vision technology, thereby, tracks the customers adding selected items to their virtual shopping carts anonymously. It does not use facial recognition technology or biometrics.

  • AiFi first introduced its scalable checkout-free technology in 2018. AiFi’s technology also allows shop owners to gather data on how individuals interact and buy products. As of September 2021, the company has partnered with 15 international store brands, including Choice Market, Carrefour, Zabka, and Wundermart. Apart from retailers, AiFi also provided its technology to various music festivals in the US in September 2021, including BottleRock, Napa Valley, Sea.Hear.Now, Asbury Park, and Governor’s Ball in New York.
