Wonderschool, a platform that connects families with child care providers, raised USD 25 million in a Series B funding round led by Goldman Sachs as a result of its One Million Black Women initiative (a new initiative committing USD 10 billion to support racial equality by investing in Black women). Also, new investor, Citi Impact Fund, and existing investors, Andreessen Horowitz, Uncork Capital, and Unusual Ventures participated in the round.
The funds will be used for product development, and this round brings the company’s total funding to USD 49 million.
The company also reported that revenue grew close to 7x over the past 18 months. The platform offers ~1,700 programs and is available across the states of New Mexico, Indiana, Nevada, and North Carolina.
