California-based mental health and wellness company Headspace Health (Headspace-Ginger merger) has announced the acquisition of California-based AI-driven mental health startup Sayana. The terms and financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Upon completing the transaction, Sayana—with around 300,000 users—will be integrated into Headspace Health within the upcoming quarters. Headspace aims to improve its AI-assisted personalized offerings by leveraging Sayana’s personalized self-care service that enables chats with an AI virtual assistant called Sayana while tracking the users’ mood changes.
Headspace will also gain access to Sayana’s self-care content that is based on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), breathing exercises, and sleep enhancement.
