Johnson Controls, a provider of sustainable buildings solutions, has announced the acquisition of FogHorn, a provider of an edge AI platform for condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance, to accelerate innovation in smart autonomous building solutions. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
FogHorn’s technology and the technical team will be integrated with Johnson Controls’ OpenBlue Solutions, a data analytics platform for smart buildings, to combine the former’s edge AI capabilities to enhance Johnson Controls’ smart autonomous building technology.
FogHorn’s Sunnyvale headquarters will be used as an “AI Hub” for Johnson Controls.
