Ljusgarda, a Swedish vertical farming company that produces lettuce hydroponically, announced that it has raised SEK 170 million (USD 19.6 million) in a new funding round. Swedish companies Philian Invest, Back in Black Capital, and Jula Holding participated in the round.
The funding is expected to support Ljusgarda’s expansion into Europe, given the company’s aim to become the largest vertical farming company in the region in 2022.
