Banyan Security, a zero trust network access security platform, has raised USD 30 million in a Series B funding round led by Third Point Ventures with participation from SIG, Alter Venture Partners, Shasta Ventures, and Unusual Ventures. The company’s total funding following this round stands at USD 47 million.
The funding will be utilized for product innovation, growth in new markets, and to double its current sales, marketing, and engineering headcount of 50 by 2022.
The funding comes on the back of Banyan Security’s rapid growth, as it recorded a 300% growth in its user base in 2021. The company expects this number to grow even higher in 2022, following the launch of Team Edition, a free version of its Zero Trust Remote Access solution.
