Hyzon Motors partners with Transform Materials to produce sustainable hydrogen

Partnerships

  • Hyzon Motors, a commercial fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) producer, has announced a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Transform Materials, a company that provides renewable hydrogen using its proprietary microwave reactor technology.

  • The two companies will evaluate proposals to develop facilities that produce sustainable hydrogen from various forms of methane, including biogas and renewable natural gas, in the US, Canada, Europe, and China.

  • Initial evaluations are expected to begin early this year. The hubs will be built, owned, and operated by Transform Materials, with Hyzon having the right to invest equity in the facilities. Feedstock and dispensing will be provided through third parties.
