Vartana, a BNPL platform for business transactions, announced USD 57 million in funding consisting of 1) USD 7 million in equity funding led by Audacious Ventures and 2) USD 50 million in debt funding led by i80 Group. Flex Capital and several angel investors also participated in the rounds. The company also announced the platform’s public launch following its private beta phase launch in June 2020.
The funding is earmarked for its product roadmap and ramping up hiring across engineering, operations, and sales teams.

Analyst QuickTake: Vartana targets the technology sales market, particularly mid to late-stage technology companies and their resellers, which includes software or hardware purchases. Vartana offers payment terms ranging from 12 to 60 months and pre-approves customers in the sales funnel during the payment process. Although the B2C BNPL market is ripe with lots of players, the same cannot be said about the B2B space. However, the B2B space has seen more players emerging and raising funding in the recent past, such as German players Topi and Billie , US-based Affirm spin-out Resolve , and Brazil-based TruePay .
