Together, they have initiated commercial operations of the 220 MW Reid Gardner Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) located in Moapa, Nevada.</p>
<p>The BESS, which can store energy for 2 hours, is among Nevada's largest. It has been designed to store and dispatch surplus renewable energy from sources like wind and solar power. The operation of this system is handled by NV Energy, using Energy Vault's integration platform and energy management system, referred to as Vault-OS.</p>

Furthermore, they have agreed to increase the deals to USD 200 million after the completion of certain projects. </p>
 <p>They plan to use this investment to expand their battery storage operations in the US. Upon completion, energy assets will be owned and run by a joint venture between Agilitas Energy and AB CarVal, which was established in 2022. </p>
 <p>Established in 2014, Agilitas Energy is an energy storage company that constructs, owns and operates energy storage and solar PV systems in the northeastern US. The company’s battery systems include front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter systems, either standalone or paired with solar PV assets. </p>
