Group 14 Technologies, a next-gen battery material startup, announced that it has been commercially manufacturing SCC55, its flagship lithium-silicon battery anode, and shipping it to global companies in the automotive, consumer electronics, and battery manufacturing sectors, for some months now.
Group 14 also plans to develop two more factories, one in South Korea and a second in Washington, which will produce 12,000 tons or more of lithium-silicon battery anodes per year. The company’s current factory in Washington began operations in March 2021.
