The joint venture aims to establish a recycling plant for polyester-based textiles in Kettering, Northamptonshire. According to the companies, this will be a pioneering plant in the UK, designed to produce polyester pellets that can be transformed into yarn or utilised for various industrial purposes. It is estimated that the plant will recycle around 2,500 tons of unused polyester in 2024 and will double this quantity in 2025.</p>
 <p>The company, Project Plan B, manufactures garments and workwear from entirely recycled materials. Besides, the firm develops and manages a polyester recycling system that reprocesses items like clothing, sportswear, hospitality textiles, uniforms, workwear, and soft furnishings.</p>

 <p>This facility, found within an existing recycling center, will convert spent battery concentrates into battery-grade cathode and anode materials. This process is made possible by Green Li-ion's proprietary "Green-hydro rejuvenation" technology, which employs a hydrometallurgical procedure to recycle batteries.</p>
 <p>Green Li-ion purports that their implementation is the first worldwide facility to commercially transmute the diverse unsorted black mass from Li-ion battery chemistries into battery-grade precursor cathode active material (pCAM) with a purity of 99%.</p>

Sunnking rebrands as Sunnking Sustainable Solutions

 <p>The European Union (EU) is partnering with India to support start-ups working on battery recycling technologies for electric vehicles (EVs). </p>
 <p>This collaboration will take place at a matchmaking event in June 2024, under the auspices of the India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC). Six startups, three from India and three from the EU, will be chosen from a shortlist of 12. They will have the chance to visit their counterparts' regions to learn and increase collaboration.</p>
 <p>The event is expected to give start-ups from both regions a platform to display their innovative solutions, develop potential business relationships, and engage with potential investors.</p>
