• Arctic Wolf, a managed detection and response (MDR) company, has announced the acquisition of threat detection and response startup Tetra Defense for an undisclosed sum.

• Founded in 2016, Tetra Defense provides incident response and digital forensics, cyber risk management, ransomware response, business email compromise, intellectual property theft investigation solutions to mitigate cyber threats, and managed detection and response (MDR) services. The company’s MyCyber offering is an application that allows customers to understand and track their cyber hygiene practices to reduce their cyber exposure. Tetra Defense has nearly 100 security investigators and primarily serves cyber insurance companies and risk management partners through its SYTE platform. 

• The acquisition will strengthen Arctic Wolf Security Operations portfolio—including MDR, cloud detection and response, managed risk, and managed security awareness solutions, with Tetra Defense’s incident response, proactive security readiness, and threat intelligence capabilities.
