Ionomr Innovations, a Canadian company developing ion-exchange membranes and polymers for hydrogen electrolyzers and fuel cells, has announced plans to deploy an R&D facility in Monroe County, US.
The R&D center will be constructed at Metro Business Park and will require a capital investment of nearly USD 2.7 million. The project will receive USD 1 million from the Empire State Development.
The facility is expected to be operational by Q2 2022.
<ul><li> Analyst QuickTake: Earlier this month, Ionomr Innovations raised USD 15 million in a Series A round . The proceeds were to be used to scale the production of Ionomr’s ion-exchange membranes and polymers. The remaining investment of USD 1.7 million for the new US R&D facility is also likely to be funded by this.</ul>
