Hy2gen secures EUR 200 million in Hy24-led investment

Funding

  • Hy2gen, a German developer of green hydrogen and e-fuel, has received EUR 200 million (USD 227 million) in a funding round led by Hy24. Mirova, CDPQ, and Technip Energies also participated in the round.

  • The proceeds will be utilized to deploy e-fuel production facilities in Europe and other geographies to produce green hydrogen-based fuels for maritime and ground transport, aviation, and industrial applications.

  • Founded in 2017, Hy2gen develops, finances, and operates green hydrogen and e-fuel facilities globally. The company is currently constructing an 880-megawatt green hydrogen project with over 12 gigawatts in development. Hy2gen’s primary plants are being deployed in France, Norway, Canada, Germany, and the US.
