HerMD, an Ohio-based startup providing both in-person health care and telehealth for women, has secured USD 10 million in a Series A funding round led by JAZZ Venture Partners.
The firm, which currently operates women’s healthcare centers in Cincinnati and Kentucky, plans to use the funds to open additional centers in Indiana and New Jersey by the end of 2022. It plans to expand further into Denver, Nashville, and Atlanta by the end of 2023. Additionally, HerMD plans to expand its telehealth offering to 10 states in 2022, followed by a nationwide rollout in 2023. The company also intends to expand its workforce to support its geographic expansion plans.
The female-founded, specialized telemedicine startup offers consultations with regard to gynecology, sexual health, menopause, and medical aesthetics as well as online prescription refills. The firm provides services such as same or next-day appointments and discounted self-pay rates for customers without insurance plans.
