Zeta Global, a marketing cloud platform that includes a customer data platform (CDP) containing consumer behavioral and transactional data, reported its Q4 2021 and full-year (FY2021) financial performance. The firm achieved a revenue of USD 135 million (18% YoY growth) for Q4 2021. The growth was driven by new client acquisitions during the quarter (a 2% QoQ growth, reaching 355 customers by end 2021) as well as an expansion in customer average revenue per unit (ARPU) to more than USD 368,000 (compared with USD 320,000 in Q3 2021). For FY2021, revenue was USD 458 million (25% YoY growth), while customer ARPU reached USD 1.2 million (18% YoY growth).
During the quarter, the firm recorded an adjusted EBITDA of USD 22.9 million (29% YoY growth) and improved in its EBITDA margin to 17% (compared with 15.5% in Q4 2020). The firm continued to record a GAAP net loss of USD 61.1 million (compared with a net loss of USD 8.8 million in Q4 2020). The loss was primarily due to a USD 70.5 million stock-based compensation expense during the year. For FY2021, adjusted EBITDA was USD 63.3 million (60% YoY growth) with a GAAP net loss of USD 249.6 million (compared with a net loss of USD 53.2 million in FY 2020).
For the full year for 2022E, the firm expects to achieve revenue between USD 540 million and USD 550 million (18%–20% YoY growth), while its adjusted EBITDA is expected to be between USD 80 million and USD 83 million (26%–31% YoY growth). The firm also announced its 2025E targets and plans to achieve a revenue of more than USD 1 billion, supported by 450+ customers and an adjusted EBITDA margin of at least 20%.
