XRHealth, a telehealth and mental health company, has raised USD 10 million in a venture funding round with participation from investors including HTC, Bridges Israel, and AARP as well as existing investors. This brings the company’s total funds to USD 34.7 million. Earlier this month, the company raised USD 0.3 million in a crowdfunding round.
The company says it plans to use the raised funds to expand virtual treatment globally via the Metaverse.
XRHealth leverages extended reality (XR) technology to provide virtual clinics, where trained therapists and patients can virtually meet for healthcare solutions targeting physical therapy, several mental health-related conditions, occupational therapy, memory and cognitive training, pain management, and post-COVID rehab.
The company, currently operating out of Massachusetts, offers its services via one of HTC’s VR headsets (VIVE Focus 3) throughout the US and will have the same coverage via the VIVE Flow (one of HTC’s other VR headsets) in Spring 2022.
