• Climeworks, a Swiss direct air capture (DAC) startup, has signed a carbon removal agreement with Zendesk, an SaaS provider of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions.

• Under the agreement, Zendesk will purchase Climeworks’ DAC offsets. Climeworks will permanently store CO2 removed from the atmosphere for Zendesk. 

<ul><li> Analyst QuickTake: Climeworks, having launched the world’s largest DAC facility last year, has been actively trying to onboard new customers. Climeworks has been selling DAC carbon removals since 2019 and has a customer base of 13,000+. The Zendesk agreement is followed by Climework’s multiple carbon removal agreements with Rothesay , LGT , BCG , Swiss Re , Square , and Ocado Retail .</ul>
