H2U Technologies raises USD 11 million in Series A funding

Funding

  • H2U Technologies, a producer of green hydrogen solutions based on water electrolysis, has raised USD 11 million in a Series A funding round led by Jericho Energy Ventures. The round brings H2U Technologies’ total funding to USD 18 million.

  • The company expects to use the proceeds to develop innovative electrolyzer designs and to build its proprietary Catalyst Discovery Engine (CDE) by utilizing H2U’s non-platinum group metals-based (PGM) PEM electrolysis technology.

  • The round was also supported by Freeflow Ventures and VoLo Earth Ventures. Existing investor Hess Corporation also participated.

  • Founded in 2020, H2U Technologies uses AI and data-driven processes to develop proprietary electrocatalysts to generate clean hydrogen and fuel cell power. The company has partnered with SoCalGas to conduct pilot testing on its grid-scale PEM electrolyzer the Gramme 50 (G50).
