Slide, a company that offers a platform that allows homeowners to create customized insurance policies, has acquired premiums worth USD 400 million from the now-defunct insurance company St. Johns Insurance Co.
The policies were moved to Slide’s book from March 1, 2022 and cover around 150,000 policyholders. According to the Florida Department of Financial Services, there will be no gaps to the coverage of these policyholders, and premiums will remain unchanged. Slide will also provide voluntary appointments for over 2,700 agents of St. Johns in Florida and South Carolina.
