Gumball, an AdTech solution specializing in podcast advertising, has raised USD 10 million in Series A funding led by Good Friends and Union Square Ventures. This brings the total funds raised to USD 12 million.
The firm plans to use the funds to grow its engineering and marketing team as well as expand its offices and build state-of-the-art podcast studios for content creators.
Founded in 2015 as an offshoot of comedy podcast network Headgum, Gumball provides a demand-side ad marketplace platform (DSP) enabling advertisers to purchase, plan, and measure “host-read” ad marketing. As of March 2022, the firm has delivered more than 16,000+ live host-read ads for more than 610 brands including Netflix, Peloton, Casper, Seatgeek, and Squarespace.
