Bear Robotics raises USD 81 million in Series B funding

Funding

  • Bear Robotics, the developer of “Servi” robot waiters, has raised USD 81 million in a Series B funding round led by IMM Investment Corp with participation from investors including Cleveland Avenue. This brings the company’s total funds raised to USD 117 million.

  • The company intends to utilize the funds to introduce new products to automate hospitality industry tasks, expand its reach to Europe and Southeast Asia, and to expand its team.

  • Today, Bear Robotics also revealed that it has delivered 5,000+ Servi robots to partners in the US, South Korea, and Japan, including Pepsi, Denny’s, Compass Group, Marriot, and Chili’s.

<ul><li> Analyst QuickTake: With today’s funding, Bear Robotics leapfrogs to become the most well-funded restaurant robotics startup within our coverage, followed by kitchen automation solutions provider Miso Robotics who has raised USD 79.3 million to date and opened a Series E funding round last month targeting a USD 40 million raise.</ul>
