Hydrogenious Technologies forms partnership for hydrogen transportation

Partnerships

  • Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies, a German developer of hydrogen storage and distribution solutions, announced a partnership with Uniper (a German energy supplier), JERAS Americas (a Japanese renewable energy equipment producer), and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to jointly explore hydrogen transportation between UAE and Germany.

  • The collaboration will utilize Hydrogenious’ proprietary liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC) technology to deploy a green hydrogen demonstration project from the UAE to the German North Sea port of Wilhelmshaven.

  • The initial phase of the demo project will utilize blue hydrogen and will later be replaced with green hydrogen. Under the partnership, the companies will also explore varied means of transporting green hydrogen.
