Brightline raises USD 105 million in Series C funding

Funding

  • Telepsychiatry platform Brighline has raised USD 105 million in a Series C funding round led by KKR & Co. with participation from existing investors, including GV, Optum Ventures, Oak HC/FT Partners Threshold Ventures, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. This brings the total amount raised by the company to USD 209 million, pushing its valuation to USD 705 million.

  • The funds will be used to expand its reach, triple its healthcare provider network, and broaden its service offering. The company’s services are currently available to 24 million covered lives via partnerships with health plans; it aims to increase this number to more than 50 million in 2022.

  • KKR Director Johnny Kim will join Brightline’s board of directors.
