Linus Health acquires Kinesis Health Technologies

M&A

  • Linus Health, a brain health measuring and monitoring platform focused on seniors, has acquired Kinesis Health Technologies (Kinesis), a company that digitally assesses gait, balance, mobility, fall risk, and frailty in senior patients.

  • Following the acquisition, Kinesis will operate as a subsidiary of Linus Health. The transaction will combine Kinesis' experience in physical function assessment with Linus Health’s expertise in brain health in order for Linus Health to refine and offer more holistic and proactive health screening services.

  • The CEO of Kinesis Seamus Small will assume the position of managing director, while Co-founder Barry Greene will retain the position of chief technology officer.

  • Kinesis, spun-out from the University College Dublin, provides a range of services and tools for physical function assessment. It has published over 70 peer-reviewed research articles and built a global network of research partnerships. Its customers were located in Canada, the UK, the US, and Ireland, while the company has carried out over 40,000 patient assessments to date.
