<ul><li>Remote, a human resource platform that provides payroll, benefits, compliance, and tax services across international markets, has raised USD 300 million in a Series C funding round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 with participation from existing investors including Accel, Sequoia, Index Ventures, Two Sigma Ventures, and General Catalyst. The round follows Remote’s USD 150 million Series B round in July 2021 and brings its total funding to USD 495 million at a valuation of nearly USD 3 billion.</ul>
The fresh funds will be used to develop new products, including contractor and global payroll platforms, and expand its service and benefits offering. The company, which operates in 60+ countries, plans to expand to ~40 before year-end.
The company’s annual recurring revenue grew significantly (13x) and its headcount by 900% in the past year. Notably in 2022, Remote launched “Remote Relocation,” a suite of employee relocation services, and “Remote for Refugees,” a program for businesses to invest in refugee talent.
