Wallbox, a Spanish EV charging station developer listed on NYSE, announced the commencement of construction of its Arlington facility, the company’s first EV charger manufacturing facility in the US.
The 130,000-square-foot facility is expected to support Wallbox's expansion plans in North America. Wallbox will initially invest USD 11 million to develop a capacity of 250,000 units in 2022 to be expanded to 500,000 units by 2025.
Production at the new facility is expected to begin by Fall 2022 and will include a production line for Wallbox’sPulsar Plus AC chargers. Production lines for Quasar 2 vehicle-to-grid chargers, Supernova fast chargers, and Hypernova ultrafast chargers are expected to follow in 2023.
