Qonto, a French neobank that offers banking and credit products to SMEs and freelancers, has raised EUR 5 million (USD 5.4 million) in a crowdfunding campaign through the investment platform Crowdcube. Qonto raised five times its initial target of EUR 1 million in just 6.5 hours of the campaign launch, which also saw participation from customers of more than 1,800 companies. Following this campaign, the company’s total funding stands at USD 709.3 million.
