        Founded in 2014, Illusive automatically and continuously remediates privileged identity risks by providing visibility into vulnerable identities across an organization&rsquo;s endpoints and servers. The company either eliminates them or deploys deception-based detection techniques such as compensating control to prevent attackers. Illusive currently serves multinational companies, large global financial companies, retailers, services organizations, and pharmaceutical companies.

        The acquisition will enhance Proofpoint&rsquo;s threat and information protection platforms with Illusive Spotlight&rsquo;s proactive identity risk discovery and remediation capability which scans directory structures, privileged access management (PAM) solutions, endpoints, servers, and services to identify vulnerable identities, and Illusive Shadow&rsquo;s post-breach defense capability, which identifies threats based on the attacker interaction with deceptions, to prevent privilege escalation and lateral movement to critical assets. The combined solution will extend identity security across the entire attack surface to protect organizations against cybersecurity threats such as ransomware and data breaches.
