        Wired Kitchens, a US-based cloud kitchen operator with locations in Miami and Chicago, has announced the appointment of Sami Kohen as chief operating officer.

        Sami Kohen joins Wired Kitchens from Creating Culinary Communities (C3) where he served as director of operations and drove growth of the company&rsquo;s platform, particularly the development of virtual brands like Umami Burger, Sam&rsquo;s Crispy Chicken, and Krispy Rice.
      </p>

        Prior to that, Kohen held the title of complex director of food and beverage at SLS Hotels Group and managed several Miami restaurant concepts including SEaspice and River Yacht Club. Kohen also has experience overseeing food and beverage operations at the South Beach Ritz Carlton.

        At Wired Kitchens, Kohen will help operationalize the company&rsquo;s growing portfolio of owned and managed real estate infrastructure for off-premise food businesses while further developing operational capabilities in line with upcoming national expansion.&nbsp;

        With Kohen joining the team, Wired Kitchen&rsquo;s Founder Matthew McLeod will be stepping back from daily operations and taking on a board-level role at the company on behalf of Brackenbury Partners, his private investment firm.

      <p>
        As COO, Kohen will report to the Wired Kitchens board of directors which&ndash;aside from founder Matthew McLeod&ndash;includes investors David Steinberg and Nirmal Roy, both managing partners at Foundation Capital Partners, a private real estate investment management firm with a presence in New York and Miami.
      </p>
