<p>Watershed, a provider of SaaS-based carbon management solutions, has raised USD 100 million in a Series C funding round. The round, led by Greenoaks, has brought the company's valuation to USD 1.8 billion and taken its total funding to USD 239 million.</p>

<p>The newly raised funds will aid in the expansion of Watershed’s range of solutions, which include emissions management and sustainability reporting. Part of the investment will also be utilized to grow its UK and Europe-based team.</p>

<p>Existing investors Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia Capital, Elad Gil, Emerson Collective, Galvanize Climate Solutions, and Neo also contributed to this funding round.</p>

Watershed raises USD 100 million in Series C funding

Watershed, a carbon management solution provider, has launched the Watershed Ecosystem to help scale up customers' climate programs. The ecosystem includes the Watershed Marketplace, partnerships with technology and consulting firms, and a new science advisory board. The Watershed Marketplace offers access to over 45 suppliers providing carbon removal credits, virtual power purchase agreements, and sustainable aviation fuel. The company has also formed partnerships with Arcadia, ecoinvent, and the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials, and consulting partnerships with Environmental Resource Management, Accenture, and Business for Social Responsibility. A new science advisory board of climate scientists will provide expertise in measuring emissions and vetting carbon removal projects.

Watershed launches expanded ecosystem for climate action

SaaS-based carbon management solution provider, Watershed, has partnered with sustainability consultancy firm, ERM, to integrate their services. Watershed's platform measures emissions on a granular level to report reduction strategies, while ERM provides sustainability advisory services. This partnership is similar to Watershed's previous collaboration with KPMG in May 2023, which focused on carbon intelligence and climate-related advisory services.

Watershed partners with ERM to integrate services

Watershed has partnered with ISS to help manage ISS' carbon footprint and support their goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2040. Watershed will analyze CO2 emissions data from ISS' country teams and provide carbon footprint reports. They aim to deliver the first country-level footprints for ISS in 2023, with a wider launch of the customer reporting process expected in 2024.
