Mirthy, a UK- based platform for the elderly, has raised GBP 800,000 (USD 1.1 million) in a pre-seed funding round led by Ascension’s ‘Fair By Design’ fund. The round also included the participation of Ada Ventures, Redrice Ventures, and True.
The fresh funds will be allocated to support its geographic expansion, product development, and hiring across marketing, product, and sales teams. As part of its product development, Mirthy intends to launch a subscription-based monetization model and other community features by October 2021. Mirthy expects to grow its current user base (35,000) by over 150,000 over the next 12 months.
