Next Hydrogen, a Canadian manufacturer of electrolyzers for green hydrogen production, has signed a memorandum of understanding with GE Vernova's Power Conversion business to integrate Next Hydrogen's electrolysis technology with Power Conversion's power systems offerings to produce green hydrogen.
Through this partnership, the integration of GE Vernova’s power conversion technology provides Next Hydrogen water electrolyzers with direct current power from renewable energy.
In the first phase of the partnership, GE Vernova and Next Hydrogen aim to develop advanced power systems that align with the new generation of Next Hydrogen’s electrolyzers, which are set to launch in 2024. As such, a Next Hydrogen water electrolyzer will be integrated with a power supply designed and fabricated by GE Vernova. Subsequent phases will focus on market demonstrations and deployments.
