The company will use this funding to facilitate large-scale production and support their commercial release of a fermented whey protein product, developed in collaboration with major CPG partners. Furthermore, co-founders Ryan Pandya and Perumal Gandhi have relinquished their operational management roles, and ex-President T.M. Narayan has assumed the position of interim CEO.</p>

Diversified FoodTech company Superlatus has agreed to acquire The Urgent Company (TUC), including its consumer brands Coolhaus, Brave Robot, Modern Kitchen, and California Performance Co., from Perfect Day for $1.25 million. This acquisition comes after Superlatus merged with TRxADE HEALTH and aims to strengthen their position in the sustainable food industry. TUC, a spin-off from Perfect Day, uses precision fermentation to develop products sold in over 6,000 stores in the US. The deal aligns with Superlatus' mission to transition to animal-free alternatives and meet the demand for sustainable products. Perfect Day previously laid off employees at TUC as part of its exit plan from the consumer-facing business.
