Optimi Health, a psychedelic drug manufacturer based in Canada, has received CAD 1 million in debt financing from two undisclosed parties. The loan, which carries an annual interest rate of 7.5%, will mature in August 2026. This is the second tranche of financing, with the company already securing CAD 1 million previously. In total, Optimi Health has now raised USD 4.1 million. As part of the agreement, the company has also granted warrants to purchase 100,000 common shares at USD 0.50 per share. The funds will be used for expanding operations and fulfilling existing supply commitments.

 <p>The Canadian company Numinus Wellness, which specializes in psychedelic substances, has formed a partnership with a body called the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). Their joint aim is to offer psychedelic experiences to practitioners as part of a clinical study.</p>
 <p>The arrangement is reliant on Health Canada approving Numinus's Clinical Trial Application (CTA). If this happens, Numinus will gain exclusivity over a clinical trial created for practitioners who wish to explore MDMA-assisted therapy. By observing and joining in MDMA sessions, practitioners hope to further their understanding of psychedelic-assisted therapy. </p>
 <p>The MDMA used in this clinical trial will be of clinical-grade and will be manufactured by Optimi. This company, also based in Canada, concentrates on producing and providing psychedelic substances to be utilized in clinical trials. To begin with, the trial will be based at Numinus's Vancouver clinics, but there is the possibility that it may be extended to other sites in the future. </p>
