 <p>Starling Bank, a UK-based neobank catering to both B2C and B2B segments, has announced the appointment of Raman Bhatia as the group's new chief executive officer (CEO). He takes over from John Mountain, who served as the interim CEO following the departure of the company's founder, Anne Boden, in <a href="https://sp-edge.com/updates/18903"> May 2023 </a> .</p>
 <p>Bhatia, who is currently the CEO of OVO, will spearhead the neobank's growth efforts, concentrating particularly on business and retail banking. He will also guide the expansion of the bank's banking-as-a-service (BaaS) technology platform, termed as 'Engine', into fresh markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Subject to obtaining regulatory approval, Bhatia will likely assume his new role by the start of the summer season.</p>
