Dispelix partners with Foxconn and Pegatron for AR glasses reference designs

Partnerships

  • Dispelix, a see-through waveguide developer, has entered separate agreements with electronics manufacturing companies Foxconn Industrial Internet and Pegatron to create reference designs for AR glasses.

  • Dispelix will contribute its Selvä, a single-layer, full-color waveguide display, to the reference designs. Foxconn Industrial Internet and Pegatron will announce their reference designs in the coming months, which will subsequently be transitioned into mass production.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Dispelix also partnered with microLED display manufacturer Jade Bird Displays in June 2022 to develop multiple reference designs for AR devices. Furthermore, the company partnered with holographic display tech company VividQ in January 2023 to create a “waveguide combiner” that accurately displays variable-depth 3D content in a user’s environment.
