 <p>Robotics firm, Starship Technologies has recently raised USD 90 million in a funding round that was co-led by existing investors, Plural and Iconical. This has increased the company's total available funds to USD 230 million.</p>
 <p>The company plans on using these funds for various purposes, including the expansion of their geographical presence, the inception of a robot manufacturing program in collaboration with a partner that is yet to be disclosed, as well as significant investments aimed at the improvement of their existing software and logistics services.</p>
 <p>Starship's delivery robots have already logged over 11 million miles on routes across 80 different locations throughout the US and Europe, and have successfully executed over six million deliveries.</p>

Autonomous delivery droid manufacturer Starship Technologies has partnered with online food delivery service Grubhub to offer robotic food delivery services on the campus of Sam Houston State University in Texas. Students can order from eight on-campus eateries, including popular chains like Chick-fil-A and Starbucks. This partnership expands the autonomous delivery services that Starship and Grubhub currently offer at other universities across the United States, including the University of Kentucky, Fairfield University, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
