Geographic expansion

  • Peloton , a connected fitness equipment manufacturer, has announced its expansion into Austria, marking its fifth international market outside of the US following Canada, the UK, Australia, and Germany. The company will offer Peloton Bike, Peloton Bike+, Peloton Tread, and select accessories through partnerships with ecommerce company Amazon and Sport-Tiedje, a specialist retailer of home fitness equipment. The company will also introduce Peloton App with content across 16 fitness disciplines, such as cycling, running, yoga, meditation, and strength, and over 5,000 classes taught in German.   • Peloton entered a multi-year partnership agreement with National Basketball Association (NBA) and Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), to become an official fitness partner and expand on content offerings. Through this partnership, Peloton will leverage NBA and WNBA expertise on fitness, lifestyle, and sports to create special access, offers, and experiences for Peloton members and fans, including streaming of live matches through NBA League Pass across compatible Peloton devices allowing users to watch the the 2023-24 NBA season under the platform’s entertainment hub.   • Nautilus , a fitness equipment manufacturer, announces plans to change its corporate name to BowFlex Inc, effective November 1, 2023. It also plans to change its ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange from “NLS” to “BFX.” The company stated the corporate name change was to be reflective of its strongest consumer brand and support the execution of its growth transformation strategy (October 19, 2023; Company press release )
