        Rendever acquired Alcove, a VR platform focused on addressing concerns of the elderly using shared family experiences, for an undisclosed amount from the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP). The AARP had already invested in Rendever prior to the transaction but it is reportedly increasing its stake as part of the deal, while Rendever is also paying cash for Alcove.

        Rendever is expected to bring targeted shared experiences to the elderly population, through the in-house development of Alcove, which is downloadable through the Quest store. Alcove&rsquo;s B2C product, which allows the elderly to connect with family through virtual activities, is expected to complement the B2B aspect of Rendever&rsquo;s current business model.&nbsp;

        The company had been co-developing Alcove with the AARP since 2020, and, as part of the acquisition, it will be working together with UCHealth, a brand in Alcove, to improve its product offering.
