Tomorrow.io, a short-term AI/ML weather analytics startup has entered into a strategic partnership with ASTERRA, a provider of data-driven insights for water utilities, to identify and mitigate property losses and damages.

The partnership will allow the two companies to provide weather insights for organizations with large infrastructure installations to avoid costly damages. Tomorrow.io’s proprietary Weather and Climate Security platform deriving actionable business insights will be integrated with ASTERRA’s EarthWorks analytical tool to mitigate risks arising from catastrophic disasters.

ASTERRA’s L-band Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (PolSAR) satellite data and its patented algorithm penetrates through clouds and trees in any weather condition, to detect soil moisture and pipeline defects to prevent infrastructure failures.
